Political Science Department of the Ukrainian Catholic University welcomes to the international conference on January 28-29, 2021.
The international conference convened by the Political Science Department, Faculty of Social Sciences, of the Ukrainian Catholic University aims to examine the impact of Christian moral and ethical discourse upon the present status quo and consider the ways in which it could inspire further social change. Building on the discussion of the relevance of Catholic social thought by the international group of distinguished academics, the conference will explore the ideas and analyze the opportunities for grassroots initiatives and policy improvements so as to facilitate the implementation of those insights. The conference welcomes the contributions that investigate diverse forms of the actual or potential beneficial impact of the ideas associated with Catholic social ethics broadly understood. Possible themes include the issues of social entrepreneurship, environment and ecology, hospitality towards refugees and migrants, and successful charity initiatives.
One of the conference sessions will be devoted to the presentations delivered by the students of the Ukrainian Catholic University’s Ethics-Politics-Economics program. Given the conference’s orientation towards applied outcomes, this panel will address specific problems relevant to contemporary Ukrainian society through the lenses of Catholic social thought.
The conference will take place online. Please register for the webinar by clicking on the link: https://cutt.ly/NjcieGH
